Writing, editing, research, reviews – what can I help you with?
I trained as a journalist and have been writing professionally for over a decade. I’m determined to leave the world a better place than I found it, in whatever small ways I can, so I specialise in writing about social and environmental issues. My long running blog, The Earthbound Report, explores these topics, drawing the links between climate change, development, and consumerism. It gets around 10,000 visits a week and was named Britain’s number one green blog in 2019.
In 2019 Policy Press published The Economics of Arrival: Ideas for a grown-up economy, which I co-authored with Dr Katherine Trebeck. This book was followed in 2020 by Time to Act: A resource book by the Christians in Extinction Rebellion, which I edited for SPCK.
Elsewhere, I’ve written research papers for Tearfund, an ebook for WWF and the Green Economy Coalition, book reviews for The Ecologist, and economics features for the Post Growth Institute, which I co-founded. My writing has featured in the 10:10 climate change campaign, Positive News, Sublime Magazine, Open Democracy, Positive Money, Campaign Against the Arms Trade, The New Escaplogist, A Rocha, Transition Voice, Slipstream Magazine, Green Christian, Celsias (sic), and many more.
I can help with more general writing and editing too, and regularly work with creative agencies and small businesses needing editorial support.
